Among the first things we are taught at school is the water cycle. It makes water seem like Earth’s infinite resource. What we likely did not get to learn is how humanity has affected and keeps affecting the cycle resulting in consequences for all life on Earth.
This is a colour scheme which represents the different stages of water in the Earth’s water cycle and gives an easily understood introduction to Stockholm Resilience Center’s latest research on the topic.
